Annual cultural and literary meet SAMBHRAMA -2012

        JSS college of Nursing, Mysore organized the annual cultural and literary meet “SAMBHRAMA – 2012” from 07.05.2012 to 12.05.2012. On behalf of the SAMBHRAMA -2012 the students of JSS College of Nursing participated in various cultural and literary competitions and won many prizes.

           Annual cultural and literary meet SAMBHRAMA -2012 was started with off stage events which were conducted from 7th may to 9th May 2012 at JSS College of Nursing. The various off stage events such as flower decoration, face painting, vegetable carving, useful out of waste, imitation with limitation, quiz, debate on the current year nurse’s day theme, sirf ek minute and so on. Along with these events students enjoyed and participated enthusiastically in the ethnic day on 7th May by wearing traditional dresses, sky blue day on 8th and black and white day on 9th May. These days exhibited the unity in diversity in JSS CON family. 

           On stage events of SAMBHRAMA – 2012 were organized on 10th and 11th of May 2012. The inauguration of SAMBHRAMA -2012 was formally held on 10th May and the Chief Guest was Mrs. Vasundara Doreswamy, International Classical Dancer, Mysore, and Mime Ramesh was the Guest of Honour. Mrs. Anitha VN, Asst. Professor, JSS College of Nursing Presided the occasion. After the inauguration the on stage  events like skit, mad ads, mime, solo dance, couple dance, group dance – Indian, western and classical dance, twin wonders and fancy dress, hair style competition, Mr. and Miss CON competition etc.

          The valedictory ceremony of the SAMBHRAMA -2012 was held on 12th May 2012. Dr. Kushalappa, Director (Academic), JSS University, Mysore was the chief guest and the guest of honour was Mr. Shashidhar Kumar, Principal, JSS School of Nursing, Mysore. Prof. Sheela Williams Principal JSS College of Nursing presided the occasion. During the valedictory ceremony the winners of the cultural and literary events received the prizes from the Dignitaries. After the distribution of prizes Dr. Kushalappa said that nurses are the smiling flowers in the garden and they play a vital role in caring for the patient in the hospital as well as in the community.
