Outreach activities- Dept.of Community Health Nursing
Conducted home visit and health needs of the families were assessed.
- Procedures like physical assessment, nutritional assessment, TPR, urine analysis, Hb estimation, BP monitoring, cooking demonstration was done based on needs of family.
- On 6-3-3019 school health program was organized by at Govt. Primary School Kiralu students in which around 80 students health assessment was done and health talk was given to parents, teachers, children on various topic like personal hygiene, hand hygiene, brushing techniques, nutritional importance management on minor ailments by using videos, charts and models.
- From 10-3-19 to 13-3-19the students were participated in pulse polio program.
- On 15-3-2019 medical camp was organised in Kiralu village by 4th year BSc Nursing and 2nd year PBBsc Nursing. The patient was benifitted with the opthalmological problem and diabetic diagnostic test and check up by the opthalamologist from ophthalmology, peadtrician from paediatric department, General sergeon from department of General medicine,from JSS hospital .
- No tobacco day was observed on 17-6-2019 at Bamboo Bazaar. As a part of the program awareness rally was organized at Medar block, Bamboo Bazaar. Roll play was organized near bamboo bazaar circle to create awareness regarding ill effect of tobacco use.
- World health day was celebrated on April 11th at PHC in Varuna, Mysuru, with the theme “Universal Health Coverage; Everyone Everywhere”. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Kantharaju, Physician, Varuna PHC. On the same day, role play was conducted on the theme “Universal Health Coverage; Everyone Everywhere” at Varuna PHC.
